My industry experience touched numerous facets of business, but my focus was in the sync space (music in visual media). I creatively pitched and licensed music o/b/o major labels including Republic, Island, Def Jam Recordings, Atlantic, Elektra, Warner Records, Sire and more. I also pitched and licensed music o/b/o indie labels and publishers including Last Gang, MNRK, Death Row Records, Project Supertouch, Dualtone and more.
Medias I pitched and licensed music for include film/television, trailers/promos, sports, video games and ads. My client accounts ranged from boutique music supervisors, producers and editors, to studio teams like Sony, NBCUniversal, Warner Bros., Netflix TV, Paramount, Viacom, ESPN, etc. I cross-collaborated with internal and external teams like business affairs, A&R, artists, writers, and their managers, copyright and marketing, as well more partners and stakeholders in order to gather information, solve problems, negotiate agreements, manage and bring projects across finish lines.
Placements I've landed came from a mix of proactive curated playlists I created, client briefs I pulled ideas for, creative briefs I wrote for our artists/writers to create bespoke songs for, as well as proactive servicing of new releases.

After getting a BA in Visual Communications, I spent 3 years at a large-format digital printing company, greatBIGcolor, where we produced large outdoor and indoor advertising signage like billboards, posters, banners, and wraps. As the lead for the art department, I worked with our account executives and their agency clients, proofing, project managing, and press checking campaigns including Starbucks, Absolut Vodka, Reebok, NBA, FX, Disney, and Chipotle amongst many others.
Fast-forward a few years and I began a career in the film/tv sync niche of the music industry. I spent about 3 years at Warner Music Group, cutting my chops in their sync licensing department, after which I scratched my creative itch and moved to the creative sync department at Universal Music Group. After about 2 years at UMG I went to Dualtone and its parent company, MNRK Music Group, where I combined both my creative experience and licensing experience in a more holistic position, creatively pitching and licensing songs for all visual medias: film, television, trailers/promos, sports, video games, and ads.
After the pandemic and the Hollywood strikes that followed, I wanted to tap back in to my design background and continue my professional development, upskilling in UX, as well as the tech industry in general. I've learned Figma and Framer, completed certificates in cybersecurity and UX design, and am learning Python and SQL. Lots more to learn after that.
Outside of work and teaching myself new software and coding/query languages, you can find me hunting for new craft brews and wine tasting, trying to re-create meals from my favorite restaurants, watching new and old films/tv shows & hosting zoom watch parties with distant friends, listening to my vinyl collection, and starting every day off with a cup (usually a carafe) of coffee.
